Job description

For a distribution center near Sint-Niklaas, we are looking for a CI Specialist .
You are responsible
for
actively looking for improvement opportunities within the EDC site, and this within the Excellence culture of our client. You will be a subject matter expert in the deployment of the Excellence culture.
You report to the EDC CI & Ops Support Manager and will lead/support CI projects that (in)directly impact the overall operations within the EDC site, in cooperation with the related departments/stakeholders.
These opportunities will either be derived from the calculation, analysis and reporting of several Key Performance Indicators and key metrics for which you will also be responsible, or will be derived from the Zero Loss calculation in which you will actively participate.
You will ensure the necessary awareness is created for all involved parties to drive customer satisfaction & service/process excellence.
You will be the back-up for other CI Specialists and/or the CI Specialist – Service Claims and/or CI Specialist – Operational Supplies
Main responsibilities will include:
- Continuously improve operational processes by analyzing the KPI’s/metrics, processes, by performing trend analysis, by going on the shop floor and formulates these initiatives for the EDC Temse project hopper/tracker
- Lead/support in various EDC CI projects and/or support E2E SC ad hoc projects by providing DC data analysis or by leading a project work team
- Is a SME in the implementation/sustaining of the BD Excellence culture, performing Kaizen events and executing JDI initiatives
- Actively improve/ automate the reporting and analysis process within the CI mindset, while remaining in line with QMS procedures
- Analysis/reporting of critical DC Metrics:
- Monthly EDC Temse KPI slide deck
- Various other daily, weekly or monthly reporting
- Inventory Accuracy (Logistic & Financial)
- EDC storage capacity metric (pallet/bin/shelf fill rates) (daily, weekly,
monthly)including communication to SC LT and supply chain planning
- Act as back up for other CI Specialists and/or the CI Specialist – Service Claims and/or CI Specialist – Operational Supplies.

Requirements

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement environment, preferably within an operational warehousing or production system.
- You have organized and executed multiple Kaizen events.
Project management skills: You have led and implemented multiple projects and JDI.
- You are action-oriented and see challenges as opportunities.
- You are not afraid to act with minimal planning.
- You have the ability to detect improvement opportunities while thinking outside the box with an open mindset.
- You have analytical skills and extensive knowledge of Power BI, Excel, and Access.
- You learn fast, listen actively, and are a logical thinker.
- You are a team player with excellent people skills.
- You have good verbal and written communication skills at different levels.
- Presentation skills: You have good knowledge of PowerPoint.
