Job description

In our Preparation Department, chicken and turkey meat is processed and prepared before being finished into ready-to-eat products found at the butcher or in the supermarket.
A team leader has the operational leadership of a production team consisting of 25 to 50 activity managers, line managers and production workers. You ensure that your team executes the production plan according to the applicable standards of safety & quality, and care for the infrastructure.
You are responsible for personnel planning, administrative follow-up and reporting, and try to be present on the shop floor as much as possible. You build your team, organize welcoming and training of new employees and manage your team according to the values of Volys.
As team leader you are the link with other departments such as technical service, engineering, quality, R&D and human resources. You yourself report to the production manager, with whom you discuss improvement proposals and personnel needs.
You are a driven team player and coach, with an affinity for production machines and an attitude to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
As a good family man, you oversee the correct use of tools, machines and resources.
Together with your colleagues you guarantee the production and packaging of delicious, fine meat products.

Requirements

Experience as a manager in a manufacturing environment;
Affinity with and/or experience in the food industry is a must;
Level bachelor or equivalent through experience;
Good knowledge of French in addition to Dutch;
Computer literate;
General basic technical knowledge;
Willing to work in a 2-shift regime;
Result-oriented, problem-solving, quality-conscious, communicative and stress-resistant.
