Job description

For our client, a renowned recycling company in Evergem, we are seeking a motivated 1st Operator.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure Safe Sorting: Oversee the safe sorting of PMD materials by managing the fully automated operations of the installations.
- Monitor Processes: Keep a close eye on the sorting process, recording measurements and registrations with precision.
- Achieve KPIs: Meticulously track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, uptime, product efficiency, and quality standards set by FostPlus from the control room.
- Collaborate on Solutions: In case of blockages or machine adjustments, you’ll work closely with your colleagues for effective resolutions.
- Identify and Address Bottlenecks: Proactively recognize and correct any bottlenecks in the sorting and grading process.
- Propose Improvements: Bring forward innovative ideas to enhance the production process.
- Maintain Order and Safety: Ensure cleanliness, order, and safety in your assigned department.
- Explore New Techniques: Continuously seek out new methods and techniques to improve operations.
- Conduct Shift Handover: Take responsibility for accurate shift handovers using the designated forms.
- Act as Shift Leader: Step in for the Shift Leader when necessary.
- Perform First-Line Maintenance: Carry out and oversee basic maintenance tasks, calibrations, and cleaning.

Requirements

- Organized and Dynamic: You thrive in a results-oriented environment.

- Flexible with Shifts: You’re comfortable working in a 3-shift system.
- Production Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of production processes and experience in a manufacturing setting.

- Leadership Ready: Capable of temporarily replacing the Shift Leader when needed.
