Job description

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support one of the entities of the European Commission. The role focuses on statistical and general mathematics tasks, with responsibilities including:
Key Functions and Duties:
Validate statistical data and digitize geographical information for use in GIS.
Calculate derived data and produce statistical estimates and projections.
Conduct interpretative analyses of data.
Collect, classify, and store fisheries data.
Compile data for dissemination.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in searching, mapping, and gathering statistical data.
Update, supervise, and verify statistical data.
Process replies to questionnaires from studies and surveys.
Create statistical maps using computer-assisted publishing tools.
Facilitate statistical information on the Intranet and through other communication channels.
Further Tasks:
Analyze, validate, and format statistical data.
Transmit data to client bodies and organizations.
Conduct interviews and surveys with Member States and other stakeholders.
Compile comparative data for publication.

Requirements

Start Date: Between November 2024 – January 2025
Duration: 3 months
European Commission Experience: Required
Language: English
Advanced level in Excel and IT tools
Strong organizational and analytical abilities
Familiarity with statistical software is a plus

Languages

You have a very good knowledge of English
